The design focus for the Perry County Learning Center was derived from the needs of the client, the Perry County School System. The superintendent requested that an old building be rehabilitated to accommodate a new alternative school and teacher resource center. After repairing fire and water damage, the students devised a plan for maximum efficiency in terms of storage and use. Along the perimeter of the building the students created a thick insulated wall that allowed them to incorporate desks and storage within the wall.
