The semester is off to a roaring start with “Neckdown” Week, a time when we put our bodies to work to maintain projects and our buildings and grounds! We did some major clean up and repairs of siding, decking, and rope at Morrisette House and now have it looking squeaky clean. The Greenhouse got a huge clean out of old garden beds to prepare for new, longer-lasting beds. Students also helped prepare for a new pod and cleaned out the Woodshop so it would be ready for classes. In addition, Spencer House got some TLC as students replaced old siding.

At the CLT Core House site, the team put helpers to work moving excess materials to storage, digging footings for their porch concrete, and trenching for their main water line. The Smith Park team had some help cleaning up their site as well.

We also helped tidy and complete repairs on projects two projects in Greensboro: the Boys & Girls Club and Lions Park. Lions Park got an amazing makeover, courtesy of our friends David Hill and Emily Knox, faculty in Architecture, Planning and Landscape Architecture, along with some of their landscape architect students!
